His sense of humor is fantastic and his commitment to doing what’s right is admirable. Ellis is a bit quirky but oddly I could relate to everything that she said. She’s a delightful combination of unique and sassy and her inhibitions with Simon makes for some hot, hot scenes!
With a dash of humor, a bit of intrigue and a whole lot of chemistry, Destiny by Design is juuuust right! I look forward to reading more by the talented and entertaining Wylie Kinson!

Ellis is so kooky and fun that you can’t help but love her to bits. The ‘room whisperer’ routine had me laughing out loud in no time as Ellis had her brainstorms. Simon is likable and more. Their relationship feels spontaneous and the heady scent of romance mingles with that of wood polish and paint. Sexual tension is high and the sex is very imaginative. The showers and painting scenes were steamy and the closet scene takes the cake. The explicit scenes are not abundant but just right to flavor the already scrumptious story. It is not as if the storyline hasn’t been used before but the humor and entertainment value set it apart. Ellis’s gay assistant, Remi is a hoot and her former boss and nemesis Cynthia Travers is deliciously conniving and realistic. We get an insight into the competition, the decorating business and a little mystery all at once, with the plot never faltering anywhere. The author has taken great care in tying up loose ends and in answering questions, proving her talent. Destiny by Design is wonderfully heart warming with a well-balanced plot that will have you cheering for the characters and their author in no time!

“Where have you been?” He actually looked worried, standing on the top step in the dark as she approached.
“You’re Gabriel Law!” she accused with pointed finger. She pushed past him and stormed into the cottage. She rounded on him. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Well,” he began, walking toward her slowly and gently as if she were an atomic bomb, “I believe my opening line was indeed, ‘Hello, I’m Gabriel Law.’” He took the wine bag out of her hand and placed it on the counter.
“Yes, technically,” she took a deep breath, “but you should have said, ‘Hello, I’m Gabriel Law, better known as Dark Angel’!”
He winced. “Ah, sorry. I assumed you knew. Most people do.”
“Oh they do not! How many people know Bono’s name—”
“Paul Hewson.”
“Or Sting—”
“Gordon Sumner.”
“Damn you, Gabriel! Just stop it. You knew I didn’t know.” She wagged her finger at him. “You purposely deceived me.”
She dropped her bags on the floor and put her hands on her hips. She felt so stupid! Stupid, stupid Megan—brainless, naïve and completely gullible. He must be having the laugh of his life.
She took another deep breath and bit down hard, determined to stifle the tears that were making her throat tight. He reached out to rub the tops of her arms but she jumped back.
“Was this a game to you? Am I some joke that you and Grinder will have a good chuckle over?” She dropped her voice into a mocking imitation. “‘Bloody hell, mate, she was seriously clueless. Wait ’til she finds out she’s been fucked by a rock star.’ Really Gabriel, I’m so disgusted I could spit!”
Her chest was so tight it was hard to speak. Or breathe. She couldn’t hold back the tears any longer so she ran to the bedroom and slammed the door. She barely made it before the sobs came. She held the pillow to her face so he wouldn’t hear her.
Bad choice. The pillow smelled like him.
Oh God. The giant hollowness in her gut felt like it was consuming her. It hurt, and damn it, it shouldn’t. He was nothing to her but a vacation lay. A quick and dirty screw. So what if he was some big-shot rock star? Really, she should be thrilled. What a story to tell her friends.
But none of those rationalizations dulled the explosion of pain, of disbelief.
When she’d typed his name into Google, she was shocked to see the header bar say, “Results 1-10 of 25,300,000 for Gabriel Law”.
