In the Wild
If you can’t find me, it's because I’m not there
I’ve gone to a wild place
where answers are found like plump grapes on a vine
where someone will tell me what it’s all about
explain the dark mazes of my mind
When you look into my eyes, what do you see
My soul, your dream, our destiny
If I could tell you what lurks in the mists
what monsters or flowers or music exists
where we embrace ourselves in luxury and riches
ride white elephants, and tame wild camels
and eat scones and cream like a social group of bitches.

I find myself in a predicament with no easy explanation
Keep looking
but the promises I give are like dandelion feathers in the wind
I know your fundamental being
You won’t give up on me
Striving
Forever striving for the inhuman state of monolithic morality.

Bio: Early in his career, a Rolling Stone interviewer asked Gabriel Law if he was named for the archangel Gabriel, to which he laughingly replied “Did you say arch angel or dark angel”, unwittingly giving himself the nickname that he’s since become known as.

Mastering both piano and violin by age seven, many would have called him a musical prodigy, but instead of following in his mother's footsteps, classically trained pianist Marguerite Law, he chose a wilder path.

His band, Benny Heven (drummer), Luke Malone (bass guitar) and Melvin “Grinder” George (guitar) have been with him ever since he recorded his first demo album at age seventeen. Their first hit, the anthemic Win or Die is still played at sporting events worldwide, twenty years after its initial release.

Twelve multi-platinum albums, always mysteriously named after gemstones, have garnered the band numerous music industry awards. Fans are anxiously awaiting the follow-up to their 2006 RUBY Album. *

Waiting for the Sun
And so it begins
The rhythm of nature
Tap tap tapping at the glass
Smothering me in gray
Reaching in to invade my sunny soul
With cold steel needles
Long tendrils of gloom take hold
Wrapping me in despair
But still I fight
I cling to the memory of a bright sky
That feeds the light of my heart
Hoping to feel the warmth on my face
Before I break under the hypnotic pulse of God

Lies
How dare you look me in the face and tell me all those lies
It’s the one thing about you I absolutely despise
You might not think it’s bad
Twisting facts to suit you
But you erode my respect
Shake the foundation
Of our tenuous relation
Look me in the eye
It comes so easy
How much practice have you had
If you though you could hide your dirty tricks
You should have picked a stupider chick
To you they’re little and white
To me their black and oozing
A cancerous growth that eats my soul
You used to have integrity and my respect
Now everything you do, I suspect
My chest squeezes tighter with every one you tell
Because you do it, looking into my eyes
How do you feel inside
What secrets do I harbor
None from you, except my crumbling ardor

Farther
Farther than I ever thought I’d go
struggling to find inspiration in the milky morning mists
I wrap myself in the cocoon of certainty
that your love will keep me whole and strong

Farther than I’ve ever been before
wondering how this destination arrived
Is this where I need to be
Where I want to be
How does one ever know
We never know

Farther than I want to be
embraced in an undeniable predicament
To think I never thought
couldn’t imagine
my life without your everlasting, soulful embrace
The farther away you seem to be
the closer I want you near
Release me
no, just cease to be
a disease within my soul

I’ve gone too far to ever go back
Looked way beyond the realm
and now I’m helpless to fight against this binding, biting hold

Farther than we want to be
now we’re trapped in reality
Can’t let go
Can’t give up
Can’t win
Can’t lose
Who cares.

My Beautiful Baby Boy
Do you know what I see when I look in your eyes
Can you feel my wonderment, my joy
I thank God every day, for this gift to my heart
My beautiful baby boy

A treasure of hopes, wishes, and dreams
Came alive the day you were born
The angels sang with your very first cry
While my heart sings every morn

Nothing on earth can begin to compare
Not even heaven knows such bliss
When a little child whispers in the night
“I love you Mommy” with a kiss

Your big blue eyes open each day
With curiosity, to learn and explore
There is so much for you to discover
Every day brings experience more

Your future, your fate, your destiny
Whatever your life will bring
May it always be full of goodness and light
And may your heart always joyfully sing
